Churchtown House is not open for guests in 2019.

We invite our guests to not just enjoy the comfortable bedrooms but also to share our other wonderful facilities, not least the eight and a half acres of beautiful unspoiled parkland surrounding the house, the centre piece of which is an enormous front lawn with an ancient Cedar tree at its centre, stroll among the flower beds and woodland areas and perhaps just sit and relax on one of the garden benches and enjoy the long warm summer evenings which are a feature of this part of Ireland.

To the rear of the main house and adjacent to the annexe is the courtyard which in the evenings becomes a wonderfully sheltered sun trap in which guests can catch the last rays of the sun while enjoying the lovely quiet surroundings. Alternatively, for those guests of a more active nature, at the other side of the annexe is a full sized croquet lawn. Beware though, croquet can become a very competitive game and we don’t provide a referee.

Inside you can relax in the large garden room with it’s featured traditional Irish style fireplace. You can meet with other guests and enjoy a delightful relaxed yet comfortable environment. If you prefer to sit somewhere a little quieter then we invite you to our more formal drawing room, which is both wifi and mobile phone free and includes an interesting library.

Breakfast is served in either the compact cosy breakfast room or the large airy conservatory, whichever takes your fancy and can range from a light healthy meal to a full Irish breakfast including such delights as Irish Sausages and  black or white puddings . Perfect to set you up for a busy day.
